ARACY – Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth is thrilled to announce that Prue Warrilow will be joining the organisation as CEO, commencing 1 July 2024. Currently interim CEO of YNSW, Prue has extensive engagement in child and youth policy and service delivery, having established her own company Families At Work and serving as Chair of Families Australia for 9 years, and the Y NSW for three years.
Board Chair Adjunct Associate Professor Shamal Dass commented “ARACY has achieved much in its first 20 years of existence. The ARACY Board believe Prue brings the right combination of expertise, experience and character required to lead us into our next stage of evolution, so we can better fulfil our ambition to live in a country where every child is thriving. The Board would also like to thank Roslyn Dundas for her steadfast stewardship as acting CEO since the start of the year, and the efforts of the broader ARACY team for continuing to deliver at a high standard, especially through a period of significant change including a constitutional review.”
Commenting on her appointment, Prue said “I am thrilled to be joining ARACY with its rich history of work contributing to the strong evidence base supporting children and young people to thrive. I’m looking forward to working with the ARACY team – including some groundbreaking projects such as the Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership, and the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children, continuing to shape a present and future focussed on reducing intergenerational disadvantage for children and young people”.
We look forward to welcoming Prue in July, with Roslyn Dundas continuing as acting CEO until that time.
