Young and Wise Series 2 Sector Input

Expression of Interest

Some examples we’ve received:

MYAN: Is there the possibility of a gap in lived experience research with young CALD people about alcohol and other drugs?

Royal Far West: Punitive measures by education systems can sometimes result in up to half of the students in rural classrooms being suspended. How does that affect wellbeing and drive harmful behaviour?

NTCOSS: What does “trust” look like for young people in communities where systems have broken trust before?

SSI: How does family stress from under-employment or skills not being recognised affect young people’s identity and aspirations?

Help shape ARACY’s 2026 Young and Wise Roundtables

ARACY is preparing the second series of Young and Wise Roundtables, focusing on elevating the lived experiences of five priority cohorts of young people who self-identify as being:

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse
  • From a rural, regional, or remote area
  • LGBTIQA+
  • Living with Autism

We invite experts from research, policy, health, education, and community sectors to help refine the themes and questions that will guide these consultations. Your input strengthens the rigour of the Roundtables; it helps ensure that the insights generated can reinforce your own work and contribute to the aligned advice we provide to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.

By submitting an EOI, you can:

  • Help shape the research foundations for Series 2
  • Ensure sector priorities are reflected in the consultation design
  • Be the first to receive the final report and related policy advice
  • Have the opportunity to participate in future strategic partnerships

Please complete the short form below to share your interest or proposed research questions. Your expertise will help us centre young people’s wellbeing and ensure their voices drive meaningful change.

We use ARACY’s wellbeing wheel (below) to guide our understanding of holistic wellbeing across the domains of The Nest, helping participants consider the full spectrum of social, emotional, physical, and cognitive factors that influence young people’s lives.
