Queensland Family & Child Commission Data Explorer

Queensland’s Data Explorer: Mapping Child and Family Wellbeing through The Nest
The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) has launched the Data Explorer—a powerful, interactive tool that offers a comprehensive view of child, family, and community wellbeing across Queensland. Built on the foundations of QFCC’s Growing Up in Queensland report, this resource brings together thousands of data points and more than 20 real-world case studies to tell the story of how Queensland’s 1.6 million children and their families are faring.
Importantly, the data and case studies are mapped to ARACY’s Nest Wellbeing Framework, which outlines the six interconnected domains children and families need to thrive:
Loved and safe
Material basics
Healthy
Learning
Participating
Positive sense of identity and culture
The Data Explorer presents information at both regional and state levels, drawing on insights from government departments, researchers, and non-government organisations. It not only tracks key wellbeing indicators but also highlights the people and programs making a real difference in Queensland communities.
Whether you’re a policymaker, service provider, researcher, student or advocate, the Data Explorer is an essential resource to support better decisions, stronger collaboration, and improved outcomes for children and families.
